Thank you to all those Parkers who have tweeted, retweeted, shared/liked us on FaceBook to help promote Our Parks throughout the week. I have heard such great feedback from you all, and some of you are putting in double ,or in some cases triple, sessions daily which is amazing. Well done!

MAIN NEWS
We are pleased that Tower Hamlets is due to start parking tomorrow (18th August 2014) and we have had over 300 sign ups so far. Our Parks set a target of getting over 10,000 East Londoners fit within our first year and we are almost half way there (5 months in), but need all our Parkers to keep doing what you do best, turning up and spreading the word.

WALTHAM FOREST SPORTS AWARDS 
We are asking Parkers to nominate coaches for a Waltham Forest Sports Award. The awards will take place Thursday 13th November 2014 at Walthamstow Assembly Hall. They recognise individuals, teams and sports clubs that have made an outstanding contribution to sport and physical activity in Waltham Forest.
Submission deadline is Friday 12^th September 2014 and nominations can be made in the following categories:

• Junior Team of the Year U11
• Junior Team of the Year U18
• Outstanding Individual Contribution London Youth Games 2014
